To become an Air Hostess after class 12th, a student needs to apply to various institutes depending on the course they opt for; as mentioned above, there are three types of courses certificate, diploma and degree course. They can apply to these by filling an application offline or in the college.
Once applied, they need to go through 3 stages to get selected, these are:
1. Written Examination: This is the first stage; in this, the candidate has to give a written test that tests their intelligence, numerical ability, reasoning skills and general awareness.
2. Group Discussion: Once they've passed the written examination, they need to pass the Group Discussion round. In this round, they are given a specific topic and perform a group discussion on it. This helps in testing their teamwork quality, patience level and communication skills.
3. Interview: On clearing the GD round, a candidate must appear for the Interview in which they need to give a One-on-One interview. This helps test their personality and passion for working in the Aviation Industry.
Different institutes may have varied selection processes, but this is the general selection process. All institutes must operate according to the DGCA Guidelines that states a candidate can be eligible for admission only after they've qualified for a written test and interview session.
