All international students who have scheduled to study in the UK to pursue bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degrees in the United Kingdom must submit an English proficiency test. However, since English is not their first language (unless from English-native nations), scoring high in English proficiency tests can be challenging. However, no worries, we have collected a list of 6.0 IELTS (International English Language Testing System) band universities in the United Kingdom to help you reach your objective of studying abroad.
What is IELTS?
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) happens to be one of the most well-known English language proficiency tests for overseas citizens. It tests your English language skills in writing, reading, speaking, and listening and is of two types, broadly IELTS General (for work or migration) and IELTS Academic (for studying abroad). Suppose you desire to study, work, or immigrate abroad to English-native countries. In that case, you need to prove your English proficiency, and IELTS is a good option.

How to Apply for IELTS 6 Band Universities in UK for Masters?
Please follow these steps if you are ready to apply for an IELTS 6 Band university in the United Kingdom.
Step 1: The initial step for you is to research and find the right university and course according to your interests. We would recommend you take the help of various overseas education consultants for the same purpose.
Step 2: You need to have your documents ready on hand because the university can ask for them. These include your passport copy, CV, academic records, and exam scores for IELTS, TOEFL, GMAT, or GRE. Please note that these documents should be in the English language. If not, get them translated by a professional translator.
Step 3: An essential step is to keep your SOP or Statement of Purpose ready on hand.
Step 4: You can directly apply to the university via online or paper mediums for postgraduate. We recommend you apply to at least 5 to 6 universities to increase your chances of getting at least one offer letter. If you get more than one offer letter, you can choose which university you wish to study at.
Step 5: Now, you need to wait for the result. If your application is selected, you need to submit the CAS or Confirmation of Acceptance letter to apply for the TIER-4 Student Visa. Otherwise, you have three options.
- Try again next year.
- Try in the next intake. For example, suppose you applied in the spring intake. You can apply for the fall intake if your application is rejected or vice versa.
- You can plead your case with the universities. The chances are that they might change their decision if they think they made a mistake.
Step 6: Done.
