The Irish government has come up with measures to support the international language students by providing for an automatic two-month renewal of any study visas due to expire between 20 May and 20 July.

Furthermore, for those students who were forced to leave the country during the early stage of the pandemic, Minister Flannigan has announced that the student’s absence will not be counted as a part of their two-year permit for English language study. Online classes will be taken until August, after which depending on the conditions, international students will be allowed to resume face-to-face classes on campus.
