The eligibility criteria often vary from institution to institution and even among the faculties and departments of the same institution. Below is the University of Sydney Master of international business eligibility criteria.

To be considered for admission, an applicant is required to have:

  • An Australian bachelor's degree or higher in a related discipline with a credit average of 65 per cent or an equivalent qualification, or
  • An Australian bachelor's degree or higher in an unrelated field with a credit average of 65 per cent or an equivalent qualification and appropriate professional work experience (usually three years), or
  • An Australian bachelor's degree or higher in a related discipline with a lower than 65 per cent credit average (but a minimum of 50 per cent) or an equivalent qualification and satisfactory performance in the GMAT (at least a class average score is 630) or an equivalent and approved Business School admissions test.
  • A minimum IELTS score of 7.0 overall and a minimum score of 6.0 in each band
  • A minimum TOEFL- iBT score of 96 overall, including a minimum score of 17 in Reading, Listening, and Speaking and 19 in Writing
  • A minimum PTE score of 68 overall and a minimum score of 54 in each band

For Postgraduate degrees, all students in the Faculty of Health Sciences are not eligible for this scholarship.

All students must be studying a program with a minimum of 50 credits to be eligible.
