Students who fancy their Master of Social Work course at Flinders University must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Have a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in any other discipline apart from Social Work, and must also have completed the equivalent of one-year full-time study[36 units] of social science topics, as defined by Australia's Academy of Social Sciences [i.e., education, psychology, law, political science, history, accounting, economics, marketing, sociology, management, geography, etc.]
  • Applicants with less than one year of full-time study or no social science studies in their tertiary education must apply for the Graduate Certificate in Society and the Individual (CRICOS code 0101000) to meet this requirement.
  • Meet the university's Inherent Requirements [the essential abilities, skills, and behaviours needed to participate, progress, and complete the Social Work program. These fall into three domains of capacity: personal, interpersonal, and cognitive]
