How to Apply for MSc Nursing in the UK

How to Apply for UK Student Visa?

A student visa allows you to live and study in the UK during your MSc Nursing programme. As a student of MSc Nursing, you need a Tier-4 Student Visa. But to apply for a Tier-4 Student Visa, you must have an offer letter from a university or nursing school. And the earliest you can apply for a student visa is 6 months before the start of the course. Suppose you are in a hurry for the visa. In that case, you can apply in the priority category by paying an extra amount. Usually, it takes less than 3 weeks to get a decision on your visa. While applying for a student visa, you need to pay a visa fee of 348 GBP and a health surcharge. The health surcharge varies with the duration of your stay in the UK.

To apply for a UK student visa, you require the following documents:

  • Copy of a valid passport
  • Passport-size photographs
  • A Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from your university
  • Copy of your TB test result
  • Proof of finance. You need to prove that you have enough funds in your bank account to pay your tuition fees and support yourself.
  • Written permission from your financial sponsor if you got sponsorship for your course fees and living costs in the last 12 months.

For the UK student visa, you can apply online or do it offline. To apply offline, submit a copy of the application form and other documents to your area's nearest UK visa centre. After getting the UK to study visa approval, you must submit your biometrics at the nearest visa centre for your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP).
