The key differences and similarities between the two countries are represented by the standard of facilities, the legal education, eligibility, student expenses, college administration, process, and ease of obtaining a post-graduate visa or a PR visa. Germany is home to some of the world's best universities. By choosing to study in Germany, students ensure that they will receive a world-class education and practical training at state-of-the-art universities throughout the country. A globally recognized degree obtained after graduating from Germany would also lead to increased job opportunities in the international marketplace throughout Germany.

Australia is a diverse culture that appreciates the socio-cultural diversity that international students bring to its university campuses. With students from over 200 countries, including India, it is one of the most socially diverse countries in the world. In all universities and institutions, English is used as the medium of instruction.

2

Germany not only has world-class universities, but also a diverse range of courses for students from all walks of life. Because Germany has such a rich history and a strong presence of universities/colleges throughout the country, there are a large number of Bachelors, Masters, PhD, language, and certificate courses that are tailored to the preferences of most students who want to study in Germany.

A main advantage of studying in Australia is that its universities are globally recognized and offer a wide range of courses with up-to-date curriculum and infrastructure, and a result-oriented faculty.

3

The language barrier is one of the most difficult aspects of studying in any European country. Candidates frequently erroneously believe that knowing German is required for admission to German universities. This, however, is not the case. While public universities require students to be fluent in German as part of the admissions process, private universities do not. In most private universities in Germany, English is the preferred mode of instruction and communication.

Australia is always willing to hire students who have graduated from their universities because they have been trained to be work ready, and thus there are numerous job opportunities available in both the public and private sectors.

4

The German Student Visa provides students with a number of advantages. The student visa allows you to work part-time for 20 hours per week during the school year and full-time during the summer. As a student, candidates are permitted to work a total of 120 full or 240 half days per year.

If you have a valid student visa and are studying in Australia, you have the added benefit of being able to work up to 40 hours every two weeks throughout your studies, giving you the flexibility to work more one week and less the next.

5

International students who have completed their master's, bachelor's, or doctorate studies can apply for and receive an 18-month Residence Permit. This is known as the Post Study Work Permit (PSWP). The immigration laws in Germany allow international students to apply for and receive an 18-month residence permit to look for work based on their qualifications.

Every year, the Australian government sets aside more than $200 million for international students who come to study at Australian universities.

Students who wish to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate degrees at these universities have a number of financial options.
