Master of Commerce (MCom) is a postgraduate study in banking, insurance, finance, economics, and other relevant areas of the commerce business.

Based on the performance in a relevant MCom Entrance Exam, admissions are generally granted to students from a commerce background with a minimum of 40% in their Bachelor's degree.

Almost all colleges and universities adhere to the same criteria and provide the same subjects that the UGC has approved. Each course speciality has a different Mcom syllabus and courses included.

There are mandatory core subjects in the syllabus that are the same for all MCom specialities and elective classes offered by the college that students can choose in their final year to specialise in a specific area of expertise.
