University of Wollongong: Admission Process

There are three intakes at the University of Wollongong – Spring, Autumn, and Summer. Each of these has different opening and closing dates depending on the decision of the university's authority. For Master's courses, there is a trimester system.

Eligibility Criteria

The requirements vary as per the chosen course. As such, you cannot have a list of the criteria for admission to all programs. However, a few requirements stay the same for all programs. They are given below.

  • Good academic record.
  • Good subject-specific test scores, if required.

Acceptance Rate

The acceptance rate at the University of Wollongong, or UOW, is 30%, which is very low. The reason is that the students must score at least 70-80% in the previous qualification, usually high school or equivalent, to be eligible for admission.

Accommodation

The student accommodation at the UOW is called the University of Wollongong Residence. Students get fully-furnished rooms for as low as AUD 195 weekly with a prepayment of AUD 500. The residence is divided into UG, PG, and mature rooms. In addition, various rooms are available, like single rooms, twin-sharing bedrooms, fully-catered rooms, studios, etc.
