UK Student Visa Fee

The typical charge for an in-country Student Visa application is INR 36238. If you utilise the priority service, the additional fee is INR 22809, and the fee for the super-priority service is INR 99116.

Please keep in mind that, in addition to the visa application price, you will also be charged an Immigration Healthcare Surcharge.

You should not have to pay any additional fees for your visa application unless you want to visit an upgraded or premium UKVACS service point. There will be an extra payment for the appointment itself if you visit an upgraded or premium service location. This will be specified on your application form and should range between £60 and £125, depending on the day and time of your consultation.

UK Student Visa Requirements

The UK government offers all Indian students the option to Study in the UK, but you must first secure a student visa.

The sort of visa you require will be determined by your age and the type of education you desire to undertake in the UK.

To be eligible for a student visa, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Have a firm offer of a seat on a course from a licensed Tier 4 sponsor.
  • To be able to speak, read, write, and understand English, you must be fluent in the language.
  • Financial proofs, that is, demonstrate that you have enough money to maintain yourself and pay for your study.
  • For a short-term study visa, you must demonstrate your intention to depart the UK within 30 days after the completion of your studies (i.e., before the end of the date of your immigration permission)

Documents Required for UK Student Visa from India

When applying for your Tier 4 visa, you will generally need:

  • A current passport or other valid travel documentation
  • Evidence of funds to provide your living expenses for the duration of your course
  • Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) reference number and documents used to obtain CAS 
  • Passport-sized colour photographs
  • Tuberculosis screening (if required)
  • Assessment documentation
  • Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) clearance certificate (if required)

Additional documents may also be needed if you are: 

  • Not a citizen of the country you are applying from
  • Under 18 years of age
  • Have family (dependents)

Note: If any of your supporting documents are not in English, you will need to have them translated. Each translated document must be dated, and include the translator's name and signature and confirmation that it is an accurate translation of the original document.

First, make sure that all of your documentation is in order. You may apply for a UK student visa online, or you can print and sign your application form and submit all of your papers to the nearest UK immigration centre in India.

The application fee is INR 36238 . Keep in mind that if you want to Study in the UK for more than six months, you will be required to pay an Immigration Health Surcharge in addition to your visa application cost, and the amount fluctuates depending on your duration of stay.

You can apply for priority service at an extra expense for a speedier conclusion. If your UK study visa is accepted, you must submit your biometrics to the local visa centre to obtain your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) if you will be studying for more than six months.

When you arrive in the UK, You may pick up your BRP at your institution or the nearby post office.

UK Student Visa Processing Time

The Student Visa usually takes around
3 weeks to arrive. However, depending on where you are applying, you should begin the visa application procedure three months in advance. Before applying for a student visa, make sure you obtain a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies  (CAS) from your university.

How to Apply for UK Student Visa

If you live outside the UK, you may apply for a UK Student Visa as early as six months before the start of your studies. Before going to a Visa Application Center in your country to submit your biometrics, you must first start the online application on the UK Government website.

Your education provider will send you a reference number known as a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies after they have offered you a seat on the programme. This number must be entered during your online registration. Depending on your country of residency, you will receive instructions on how to continue after submitting your online application.

Applicants for a Child Student Visa must have the permission of a parent or guardian.
