Upcoming intakes in Canada

Every year, many students apply to thousands of prominent Canadian universities. Most of them fail, and some of them get admitted. One thing to consider before taking a chance is that these universities are pretty strict when it comes to how and when to submit your admission.
For that, you need to have accurate information about the admission intakes. These intakes are opened at different times of the year, and the duration is also pretty deadly. To apply for your Bachelor's or Master's degree in one of these universities, you have to keep checks of these intakes and be aware of all the upcoming notifications that may provide small help to your admission.
This is what you will get from this article, an in-depth look at the days and timing of several intakes and the universities available.

How Many Intakes In Canada?

All the universities in Canada take a definitive time approach which can also be referred to as intakes. When you apply for a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Canada, you should know about the three main inputs, namely, fall, winter, and summer intakes
We advise you to start applying as quickly as possible because when you think of it, applying for a university itself is lengthy and hectic. It might take some time to find the potential fit for you, so start using them one by one. Get to work and find what's best for you!!

Steps to Study in Upcoming Intakes in Canada 2023- 24

Now you know about the different intakes, universities and their deadlines. Know about everything related to choosing, passing and interviewing for the Canadian input 2023-24.

Step#1- Finding the best fit (University) for you

  • Don't waste your time watching unfinished series or other activities right after your exams. Search the website of your favourite universities and find everything, such as their criteria and deadline.
  • Please have at least ten colleges/universities on a list and develop a file highlighting all the things they require. The process should start early so that you are on track by august.
  • While you should be aware of all the scholarship opportunities and bank loan options by now, if that isn't the case, work on it and be ready by September.
  • Get brochures provided by the universities to understand better what they offer.
  • Get help from experts, graduates and university staff. This can help immensely.

Step#2 - Passing the Exam

  • GMAT, GRESAT, TOEFLIELTS are the exams you need to prepare for. You don't need to give or pass all of them. It depends on the university and the course. Get valuable information regarding the exam and start preparing.
  • It would help if you enrolled in the GMAT and GREs before July. You need at least three months to prepare for this exam.
  • And for IELTS and TOEFL, register one month early to get enough time to prepare.
  • September might be the best time to take the test; this will give you enough if you, unfortunately, don't pass on the first attempt

Step#3 - Submitting and Waiting for your University Acceptance Letter

  • After all the hassle in finding the perfect universities, make a shortlist of the ones that suit you the best.
  • Now contact your past professors and managers for references. This should be done within one month before the deadline. Gather at least two references.
  • Write a statement of purpose, also known as SOP.
  • Take your time, as these documents and their presentation are essential.
  • If you are all set, apply for admission and remember to complete the process before the deadline.

Step#4 - Taking care of your Student Visa and Finances

  • Please submit your application to all the universities you have shortlisted and then wait for them to reply.
  • The universities will contact you based on your application, and they will schedule an interview and a group discussion for the candidates. The personal/video interview will be organised from January to March.
  • If the university thinks you are a fit, they will send you an acceptance letter.
  • Now, it's on you. If you have multiple acceptance letters from other universities, you have to decide and inform the selected institute before the deadline.
  • Submit a non-refundable deposit to the selected institute, securing the deal.

Which Intake to opt to Study in Canada?

Certain factors may divide you into choosing the best option for you. Many students prefer the September to January intake, and the others prefer well the other one. In the end, it comes to what's best for you.
You have to keep in mind that each university has its own merits, timings and rules. Please read them, analyze them and see what works for you. Like these universities, you have to see if the university offers your desired program or not, check their acceptance rate, analyze your academic record and entry test score, and the job opportunities.
We advise you to start applying as quickly as possible because when you think of it, applying for a university itself is lengthy and hectic. It might take some time to find the potential fit for you, so start using one by one.
Get to work and find what's best for you!!
